Andersen Civil & Drainage (formerly Andersen Drainage) is a locally owned and operated family business responsible for providing outstanding drainage services (both commercial and residential) throughout the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions for some 20 years.

Chris Andersen, formerly a Civil Engineer for 13 years in and around the Bay of Plenty, took over the business on 1st December 2014 from his father, Tom.

Since then Chris has expanded further with the acquisition of Rigney Earthworks Bobcat Services in August 2016.  Bill Rigney has been providing Earthworks and Bobcat services around Rotorua for the past 42 years.

Andersen Civil & Drainage is an Approved Contractor with the Rotorua Lakes Council (RDC) and has 18 staff (full time and part time).

Registered with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers board, with the supervising certified / registered drainlayers as Chris Andersen.

Meet the Team

  • Chris joined his father in April 2013 before taking over the business and expanding into earthworks.
     
  • His brother Lee has worked for his father since 2012, having previous sales experience in the industry with both Hynds and Humes.
     
  • Supporting Chris behind the scenes, his wife Angela is manning the home office. 
     
  • Daniel Rolleston joined the team in August 2016.
     
  • Michael Hunt joined the team in February 2017, he works on a part time basis in the workshop.
     
  • Next to join the team in the workshop was Cameron (vehicle / plant maintenance officer)
     
  • Tupari Tito, Joel den Harthog and Joel Cleverly work as part of the drainage team
     
  • Dennis Krebs joined the team in January 2020 as Operations Manager
     
  • Dean, Elvis and Andrew work as part of the Earthworks team
     
  • Geoff Hay works on a part time basis preparing and laying concrete
     
  • Latest addition to the team is Nick Quaife who joined us in May 2023 as a labourer
