Andersen Civil & Drainage (formerly Andersen Drainage) is a locally owned and operated family business responsible for providing outstanding drainage services (both commercial and residential) throughout the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions for some 20 years.

Chris Andersen, formerly a Civil Engineer for 13 years in and around the Bay of Plenty, took over the business on 1st December 2014 from his father, Tom.

Since then Chris aquired Rigney Earthworks Bobcat Services in August 2016.  Bill Rigney provided Earthworks and Bobcat services around Rotorua for 42 years.

Andersen Civil & Drainage is an Approved Contractor with the Rotorua Lakes Council (RDC) and has 5 staff (full time and part time).

Registered with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers board, with the supervising certified / registered drainlayers as Chris Andersen.

  • Chris joined his father in April 2013 before taking over the business and expanding into earthworks.
     
  • Supporting Chris behind the scenes, his wife Angela is manning the home office.
     
  • Tupari Tito works as part of the drainage team
     
  • Dennis Krebs joined the team in January 2020 as Operations Manager
     
  • Dean works on a casual basis as part of the Earthworks team
     
  • Geoff Hay works on a part time basis preparing and laying concrete
     
  • Latest additions to the team were Phoenix Tito who joined us in 2025 as a labourer
